If you go to any website about making money online you will find a variety of suggestions about how to do it. Some are legit, some are scams but the majority do not encourage you to start a real online business.
I am not going to go over all of the alternatives to starting a website business, there are many but they are mostly inferior to building a real website business for the following reason:
Good Websites Build Massive Passive Income
Starting a website business is not easy. However, if you get it right it’s possible to earn lots of passive income. Passive income is awesome simply because it allows you to scale your business and increase the amount of money you make. For example, if you start a content website and in the first year of working part time in the evenings you have got your revenue up to $1000 a month. If in the first month of the next year you decide to do no work at all on your business, you will still likely make in the region of $1000.
Passive Income is the smart mans way to riches.
Eventually if you stop doing work your income will likely trickle off, however this is the beauty of running a website. If you can make $1000, you can make $10’000. All you have to do is create more websites, get more traffic and make more money. Along the way you might pick up new skills, for example you may learn how to convert your visitors better with improved sales copy, or learn which keywords are more profitable for you to go after, or some cool SEO tricks that will allow you to rank higher in the search engines.
What I am saying is that as you go along, you will get better, you will realise what makes you money (80/20 rule) and you will spend your time creating systems to scale your internet business should you want to. For example, you can hire people to create content for you, or to do website promotion for you etc.
I have got to the point where it’s possible for me to earn a full time income passively. The biggest advantage of this is the massive freedom it brings you. If I don’t want to work a day, I don’t have to. If I want to go to the zoo with my girlfriend on a Wednesday I can. The best part of all of this though is I will make money whilst I sleep. In-fact I will make money 24/7, I am basically creating my own little money trees (Assets) that will give me money without further effort on a continuous basis. Sounds good right?
So How Do I Make Passive Income Online?
My online business is based around Google. I create content, Google indexes my pages and shows them in the index.
I then use SEO techniques to get my websites to appear higher up in the search results than my competitors.
Real people then click on my website link in the Google search results and start browsing my website. I then make money from these people when they visit my website. Either by selling them a product/service, getting them to sign-up to my email list, getting them to become a regular visitor or getting them to click a “Google Adsense” advert on my page which will make me a buck or so.
Sounds Simple – How Do I Get Started?
Yes this is a very simplified overview of what I do. That being said, SEO is neither simple nor easy. If you are starting out from scratch there will be a learning curve. You will need to learn how to create your first website, learn what niche to select, how to create content and what you need to do on a consistent daily basis to start earning money.
It really is not easy. Drill that in to your skull now.
You will fail. But if you fail often and fail cheaply, whilst learning from your mistakes, you will make progress and start earning money online.
You really need to make this a must for you. You need to have reasons why you must do this. To start a successful internet business you need to be very proactive and action orientated. Most people when they are working their day to day jobs are told what to do. Many people need direction. However, in order to be successful online you need to figure out what action to take and then actually carry it out on a consistent basis whilst tweaking your method as you go along.
In short you need a plan, you need to believe you can do this in your heart and you need to take steps to doing it each and every day.
This is not going to be easy like it was 10 years ago, or even 5 years ago. Nowadays it’s so easy to start a website; the barriers to entry creating a content website or SEO affiliate website are so low. Virtually anyone can get involved if they have a few hundred dollars to invest (Even less than that). That is why you have to be better than everyone else. You will have to work harder, smarter or add more value than your competition.
It’s as simple as that, this business is not easy and anyone telling you that it is just scamming you. That being said, the rewards for success in this industry are massive. Creating a successful internet business can be fun but hard work, however if you pull it off it could change your life forever. That is something I think is worth a shot in my opinion.
